GERARDO BROGNA

Tuscania

The work is entirely dedicated to Tuscany, a journey between past and present. A land that has always been rich in art, culture, and power, from the cultured literature of Dante Alighieri to the noble and powerful Medici dynasty. Michelangelo’s majestic David dominates the central scene, while Botticelli’s Venus displays her feminine beauty, dressed in flowers and butterflies. The contrasting black and white hues are visible, referencing the ancient factions of the Guelphs and Ghibellines.
